New Year Greetings
Masashi Takahashi Representative DirectorHappy New Year! Thank you very much for your support over the past year. We kindly ask for your continued support in 2020.
This past year witnessed tremendous change in the international arena - with trade friction between the US and China, complicated Japan-Korea relations, etc. Most recently, hostility between the United States and Iran has intensified and how the present situation concludes does not allow for prediction. Last year Japan too experienced many changes - including an imperial era transition from Heisei to Reiwa and the raising of the consumption tax.
At Mitsue-Links, last year we completed the replacement of our core ERP and HRM systems - projects on which we'd been working for several years. In addition, by introducing RPA and creating databases, we could reduce the number of support departments and employees could transform from mere workers to specialists - the result is an organization that achieves the same or better results even though a work reduction of 25%.
This year, the 2020 summer Olympics and Paralympics are to be held in Tokyo for the first time in 56 years and the number of foreign visitors to Japan will increase thereby creating a thriving, celebratory atmosphere. Furthermore, under the Oriental zodiac, 2020 is the year “kanoe'ne.” It is said that “kanoe” means a premonition of change, while “ne” signifies the beginning of life. Additionally, under the term “nezumizan”, the year can also be said to be one of “prosperity.”
This year also marks the 30th anniversary of Mitsue-Links. I believe, therefore, that this year provides a good opportunity to be bold and seek new challenges. Our main theme for this year is "human resource development" - which forms the basis of all growth - and we will continue to work with the mindset of a start-up company. In addition, we'll further enhance and implement our “service quality,” “technical quality,” and “process quality” slogan, with a focus on improving our service quality over the course of the year.
One area where we seek to strengthen service provision is global website development - we aim to enhance the quality of output and offer optional services, thus increasing orders. Last autumn we aligned with Bowen Craggs & Co., a UK-based company that conducts research and evaluates the websites and online presence of global companies, with the aim of providing strategic support to clients. We hope to serve as a good partner for companies expanding overseas.
As a company, we're always seeking to be “beside our clients” to achieve our aim of providing the highest levels of customer satisfaction. We look forward to your guidance and continued support this year, thank you.
